Summary:
QuikMenu 4 Windows provides an attractive and easy-to-use graphical
desktop environment for Windows (95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP and Vista). Unlike other
desktops, QuikMenu is fully customizable, allowing easy setup of icons, buttons, text and
graphics to create a unique interface for your everyday computer tasks. A full set of
utilities are provided. Affordable site license pricing is also available.

Basic Edition Features:
PROGRAM HANDLING: QuikMenu can launch any Windows-
based program with a single mouse click or keystroke. Icons and buttons may also be
configured to ask for a filename (or other information) to load with the program being
launched. QuikMenu can also be used in multi-user and network environments.
SECURITY: Multi-level password protection is
included to limit access to QuikMenu functions, individual pages, launching programs and
exiting Windows. A Master Password can be used by system administrators to override user
passwords and access protected functions. Access to utilities like the File Manager can
also be restricted. The built-in Usage Log tracks user activity for
security, billing and other purposes.
CUSTOMIZATION: QuikMenu can automatically read
your installed Windows program groups and icons to help set up your desktop quickly.
Icons, buttons, text, graphics and images can be placed on the desktop and arranged in a
free-form manner. QuikMenu's graphical program launching buttons may be customized using a
wide selection of 2 and 3-D styles. All desktop elements can be customized using a variety
of fonts, colors, patterns and lines styles. Graphic images or logos can be used as
background wallpaper or placed anywhere on desktop screens. In addition to launching
programs, buttons may be configured to send your Internet Browser to a specific web site,
jump between different desktop pages and dial your telephone.
FILE MANAGER: Files may be copied, moved, renamed,
deleted, viewed, edited, zipped or un-zipped. Folders/directories may be created, renamed,
deleted, copied or moved. Actions may be executed on single items or groups. Selected
files can be dragged between multiple open directory windows to copy or dropped on running
applications to open. A powerful search option allows you to search for files by name,
size, date or contents in a specific directory or across an entire drive.
OTHER INCLUDED UTILITIES: Calculator with paper
tape, Appointment Calendar, Telephone/Address Book database with dialer (requires modem),
and a Text Editor with built-in spelling checker.
Professional Edition Features:
The Professional Edition includes all of the basic features and utilities above
plus:
FILE VIEWER: This utility allows you to look at
the contents of all those mysterious files on your system without requiring the software
that created them. Views common image and multimedia formats, as well as in plain text and
hexadecimal modes. Files may be compared to identify differences. The Viewer can even look
at the contents of an archived Zip file and extract all or selected items from within. The
Viewer can also link directly to QuikMenu's File Manager to view contents of files as they
are selected.
ICON EDITOR: QuikMenu's Icon Editor is a miniature
paint program optimized for creating and editing these tiny Windows images. Contains a
full set of drawing tools, including line, rectangle, ellipse, fill and text. Icons can be
imported from ICO, DEF, DLL, EXE and various bitmap-format files. Icons may be saved in
QuikMenu format or exported as ICO, BMP, JPG, TIF, PCX or PNG images.
TASK MANAGER: QuikMenu’s Task Manager allows
quick and easy switching between running applications, while including security features
and virtual desktops unavailable in the standard Windows Task Manager.
OTHER FEATURES: Customizable desktop Alarm Clock,
a library of 500 icons and a selection of wallpaper background images.
