Dear Neosoft:
It would be very interesting than for the following year, may tell with a professional grid.
Particularly I believe that a great many people need it and they would not have a problem in paying that's why.
Greetings.

Hello Thunder,
Can you help me understand the difference between DBPro's current grid and a "professional" grid? _________________ NeoSoft Support |

Dear Neosoft:
Sincerely NeobookDBPro's grip is very good, but you would be interesting that you count on more actions, such they meet like in the following link, with many examples:
http://www.tmssoftware.com/site/advgrid.asp
I think that it would possibly be difficult to add all these actions, but a great advance would principally be to be able to configure auto RowHeight for it's record, so can be adjust according to field loading.
Greetings

Thank you for the example. I will add it to the list of things to look into for the next update. _________________ NeoSoft Support |

Hi..
Dave, the proposal of Thunder is very good and the commercial license is very cheep. I don't know if you can adjust it to NB but looks very powerful.
This is exactly what i need.
Thanks _________________ www.infogate.gr

Wow. I second that. Very powerful. Everything you would ever need. Download the executable demo. It's impressive. _________________ Wrangler

Typically, you can't simply buy a single license of a commercial component and turn it into a plug-in. When you create a plug-in you are essentially repackaging the component and reselling it. Most license agreements included with commercial components specifically prohibit this type of repackaging. The component's author, if he's even interested, will certainly want (and deserves) a royalty for each copy of the plug-in sold. This extra cost could be passed along to the user, but the costs are higher than what's posted on the website. This doesn't count the time it would take to rewrite DBPro to integrate the new grid. _________________ NeoSoft Support |

As Dave mentioned the cheap cost of the license is something each developer would need to buy. Then you would have to pay someone like Dave to integrate THAT plugin to NB / DB.
Commercial plugins like this are being sold to developers like each person here in the NB forum. They are the equivalent of our (very inexpensive) plugins but they don't necessarily work out of the box with NB.
Licensing becomes the challenge here. Well..... legal licensing is the issue.

Hi david:
I Want that they consider possible to add an action like AutoRowHeight, else are very expensive.
Thanks.

Hi..
Dave, what do we have to loose. Do a research to see if it's easy to adjust it to our needs for NB, and if it's OK with you, you can talk to them and ask them for a low price. If they accept it, fine, if not, fine again.
I can't speak for others, but i can handle a possible reasonable price raise in the Plugin.

Hi David:
It is true, but you must bear in mind that the TDBAdvGrid also constitutes tms grip pack's component.
I make good use of the opportunity to ask them if they have considered themselves to add the option AutoRowHeight again.
Greetings.

We will be releasing a minor update to DBPro in the next few weeks. I will make sure that auto row height is added to the list of things to look into. _________________ NeoSoft Support |
