windows sticky notes

Windows has StikyNot.exe in its system folder. I can run it with the following

%windir%\system32\StikyNot.exe

or

Code: Select all

powershell %windir%\system32\StikyNot.exe

but I cannot run it from within a Neobook action. Does anyone know how?

I was finally able to run it through a shortcut with a Neobook action:

Code: Select all

explorer C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\Sticky Notes.lnk

I suppose C:\ProgramData\ is a hidden folder so the shortcut lnk is in the same place on all Windows systems

StikyNot.exe is a mysterious thing ) Some files in System32 just cannot be seen or found by third-party tools, take a look at screenshot:



Left column is a system32 folder viewed by Total Commander, right column comes from Windows Explorer.
Also, it cannot be found with cmd console started by third-party tools, but it successfully runs from cmd.exe started from Start->Run...

I don't know anyone who does not have administrative rights to their own computer. Maybe some office workers are not supposed to access the system files of a company workstation. Some of the so-called safety features are just nag screens, curious people will click even if warned not to
