The global [FocusedObject] variable contains the name of the object that has the input focus.

Note: This variable is primarily intended to be used in scripts to identify which object is active. It is not a "live" variable and will not automatically update the screen whenever an object is clicked.

aha!

so what about the rectangle object when its being used as a grid by dbpro?
I noticed you can actually tabulate into a grid and use your arrow keys on it but I'm looking for a way for "displaying" somehow that the cursor is in the grid... you know...

Maybe you could use dbpGetActiveField?
