Grid Scroll Bars in custom window

Postby SpirosP » Sun Oct 26, 2014 2:42 pm

Hi all...
Has anyone had trouble with the grid scroll bars in a custom window?
They do not appear as the custom window opens...only when the mouse pointer clicks on them.
After that they remain steady, but....when you move the custom window, say...out of the screen area...they become non-visible once more...
I 've allready tested the dbpSetGridProperties option set to "vertical" instead of "auto".
Also the custom window options "Exclusive mode"....etc
Any thoughts?

I can't seem to reproduce that here.

Are you showing the grid before or after the custom window is displayed? Does it make any difference if you place the grid inside a container object?

Yeap...when the dbpShowGrid action is called after the custom window open there seems to be ok!!!
But, that might be quite tricky for my app cause i'll have a large number of tables and grids and so far i had dbpShowGrid action placed as a final line in every tables subroutine(called on startup).
Anyways, thanks for the tip!!

In my test I displayed the grid before opening the custom window and the scroll bars worked correctly.

Are you using the latest versions of NeoBook (5.8.5) and DBPro (1.6a)?

might've been a bit hasty for the "ok" part. The versions are fine, but the problem constists.
i narrowed down to this though:
it must have something to do wjth the "DialogBox+Exclusive" option on the custom window...

I still can't reproduce that here at all.

What version of Windows are you using?

I'm using XP SP3....i also have to mention that the Container object consists of 2-3 other cont. and the rectangle that i use as host for the grid...Maybe there is a bag there...

As a test try something without the extra containers (just a rectangle) and see if the scroll bar works there.
