I apologize if this topic has been.
I find it difficult to use the search.

Can I change the existing password in the database?

mishem:

According to this page ... you can use SQL commands to alter password for an Access database.

Might want to try something like
Code: Select all
dbpExecSQL "database id" "ALTER DATABASE PASSWORD newpassword oldpassword" ""

P.S. I have not tried this myself.

Unable to change the database password, open the shared.

I've never used SQL. :(

But thanks anyway.

I will try.

You must open the database in exclusive mode

/ excl
Open the Access database specified with exclusive access.

I do not know how to use it in NeoBook

I think you can do this by opening the database with dbpOpenDatabase and adding one of the following to your connection string.

Mode=12;

or

Exclusive=1;

Yes. Thank you all.

The connection string

Code: Select all
Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0
DATA SOURCE=The database path
Jet OLEDB:DATABASE Password=old Password
Mode=Share Exclusive

OR

Code: Select all
Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0
DATA SOURCE=The database path
Jet OLEDB:DATABASE Password=old Password
Mode=12

and

Code: Select all
dbpExecSQL "database id" "ALTER DATABASE PASSWORD newpassword oldpassword" ""
