SendMail command

Postby Gaev » Sat Jul 27, 2013 3:55 pm

Has anyone had success in using the SendMail command to send an email through their gmail account ?

With help from deployment on another (server) platform, I tried using ...

[MailServer] = smtp.gmail.com
[MailPort] = 465
[MailUserID] = firstname.lastname@gmail.com
[MailPassword] = xxxx

... without success ... it hangs forever (even [HTTPTimeout] is set).

If anyone has had success, perhaps you can share values you used for the afore mentioned variables.

Hi Gaev,

Gmail server uses SSL & TLS security protocols in order to connect to.
SendMail command connect with a non-secured mail server.
You can connect Gmail using this service:

or using this plugin:

David de Argentina:

Thank you for the quick response ... and references to possible solutions.

I sent you a PM ... which also includes a suggested work around for the 9 parameter limitation of the Call command.
