Chat plugin?

Anyone knows of a plugin that could help doing a chat system or some kind of text based communications? Maybe with a contact list fucntion or something?

In my opinion a "chat system" and a "text based communications" are not the same thing. David de Argentina develop the NeoChat plugin, which maybe can be useful to you. Another possibility is my npTalk plugin, which is not primary designed to create a chat system, but allow to communicate publications over the TCP/IP protocol. So you can play with them and find if can be useful to you or not. Maybe another mate can tell you another possibilities.

They seem to be pretty much the same, only diference is that I couldnt make NeoChat work... I think npTalk could fit my needs... Maybe not to the point I was dreaming of in the first place but I will be using the demo to see how far I can get with it.
