Hi,

1º, 2º - You can use your own Custom Windows in order to make your publication splash screen. NeoBook put in an easy way (choosing a image for the splash screen) but you can use your own objects on a Custom Windows in order to do in a more complex way.

3º Why use a DLL to your publication icon? In other words, it's your publication and you have all the control in designtime and runtime. You can extract icons from a DLL, or whatever you want, and next assign the icon to your publication.

4º Think on the user experience. Windows put some rules that every developer must to follow. Buttons controls, for example, dont change the cursor, not only on NeoBook, but on others developed environments I know, for example Delphi. So you can change the cursor if you want, but dont forget the user experience. The user can expect your publication behaviour are equal to another Windows application.

Of course this is my opinion. You are free to put here your ideas and it's good. :)

Hi..

For splash window, could be nice if the user can choose between image or swf file or GIF, also choose to see or not the loading bar.
Making your own custom window as splash is not giving the same optical result since the application window is all ready loaded.

Thanks
