Splashscreen

Postby Scherzkeks » Tue Apr 12, 2011 10:06 am

It would be nice if there would be a Command to Hide/Display the Splashscreen.

Code: Select all
Splashscreen "Hide" (off)
Splashscreen "Show" (on)

Could be used to show the Splash until all things are loaded and then go to the Publication. A option to Display one Variable on the Splashscreen could inform the User about the progress.

You could create your own splash screen with a custom window.

Sure, but this will not allow a start screen without displaying the Publication.

The Splashscreen loads before any Publication is displayed.
it seems to hide when the Startup Actions are started.

Could be handy to send the Splashscreen "Hide" command at End of the Startup Code.

Actually i have a Startup Page until everything is loaded.

That's an interesting idea, but for existing apps without the "hide" action, the splash screen would stay open indefinitely.

thats true, maybe this could help:

Option to enable the Splash with useroptions, since this it's disabled by default old Pubs will work.
Code: Select all
SplashscreenControl "true"

or change the current version to show the Splashscreen until all Code from Startup is done.

or create a Splashdesigner wich could be accessed like a normal Page.

You could do by creating a custom shaped publication then when closing the custom shaped publication (splashscreen) calling the mainpub.exe - - -you could may hide or show the splash by registry entries...

Nice Idea, but a Database loaded in the First Pub (Splash) will close when loading another Pub (Main). The Variables stay when using this Code.

Code: Select all
RunNeoBook "Main.exe" "CloseWindows"

loading the Database in the Main Pub will take too long.
