Simple way to disable mouse click

Postby Just4Fun » Thu Feb 26, 2009 1:55 pm

I'm trying hard to understand how to enable and disable mouse clicks on objects. Still not having much luck with it.

It would helpful to simply have an action that would do it for me. I've worked for several days trying to follow the examples that people have shown me, but still can't get the their examples to work.

ie. Action: DisableMouseClickOnObject/EnableMouseClickOnObject

Thank you...

Rachel:

a) What do you mean by ... enable and disable mouse clicks on objects ...

- do you want to have NeoBook/Windows Disable the object ... as what happens when you use the DisableObject command ?

- or do you just want to not service the commands in your object's Left Click section under certain conditions ?

b) You need to take the time to describe in detail what kind of scenario (vis a vis interaction with the user) you are trying to achieve ... otherwise people will provide you with the right answers to the wrong problem.

Sorry Gaev:

I understand your concerns, but I was posting in this area because I think that a simple way to disable the left mouse click on an object would be a worthwhile addition to consider for a future upgrade to neobook.

I try to post my specific questions to the appropriate areas.

Have a good day. Beautiful here.

Yes, but how would the proposed DisableMouseClickOnObject and EnableMouseClickOnObject commands behave differently from the existing DisableObject and EnableObject commands ?

Whether it is ...

- a request for Help in scripting an object behaviour with existing commands
- or a request to have a new command perform a certain behaviour

... you need to describe ...

- what action a User would perform
- how a proposed command would respond to this user action
