Spell checker

Postby datadon » Tue Mar 25, 2008 10:41 am

I'm in need of a spell checker. To check the spelling of text in a text entry object. I know editorstoolbox has one but that is a bit of overkill to use for my purpose, and not sure if it could even be done.

I know Leif made one a long time ago. Does anyone still have this plugin?

Or, is there any other way to quickly do some spell checking? Doesn't need to be real fancy, just the basic stuff. Whatever that means.

Any help is appreciated.

I got it. Give me an email address and I will send it. It is the plugin only, but it is so simple to use it has no need for anything else.

I just zipped it along with the English Dictionary file that I always use and uploaded it. You can get it at:

Yea. I'll just leave it there for anyone who needs it. If you don't like the dictionary that I included, you can always find free ones online.

Looks like this plugin is not valid any more.

Does anyone have it that could pass it along? Is there a better speller??

Thanks,
Alan

Bump.

Does anyone know of a way to spell check a field so I can make sure everything is correct?

This sure would be a nice feature and is not uncommon, so hopefully there is a way to do it.

I'm looking for a way of spell check textfields, editors tool box looks pretty good but im my case I want to spell check not into a dinamically generated textarea but on textboxes.
The plugin Silas_Underdog was sharing seems to be the solution but does anyone knows if still exists or if there any alternative to it?

rly!?

Spell check on a few multi line text boxes... For the looks of this thread it looks that old plugin would do the job... but you know what, f* it, I mean, spell checking libraries generally cost some dough and its not like I'm gonna die of cancer if I don't implement (or maybe I will).

Look ok but it gives me the impression its a spell check for special field types, sort of like EditorsToolbox one...
This would be ideal... https://spellchecktextbox.codeplex.com/
