A NeoPaint Gallery?

Postby Masanobu » Sun Nov 11, 2007 9:34 pm

Is there an image gallery or two on the Internet specifically collecting those images created by NeoPaint? Or, such sites collecting digital art images in general?

I would be delighted if this forum has such one.

That's an interesting idea. We can certainly think about it, but there would be some cost and bandwidth issues that we would have to consider.

Of course, there are some image galleries that already exist that you might take a look at. One can be found at the link below:

Neosoft Support & Wrangler,

Thanks for letting me know of those image galleries. They do not seem very active, though... Sharing computer generalted images may not be very popular.

I think the only real value to a gallery would be to display what NeoPaint can do. If linked to the neosoft web site, it would be a selling point. Other than that, I think people don't care much about looking at other people's art, unless they want to steal it for wallpaper, assuming they like your art in the first place.

I don't use NeoPaint , but I would be curious to see what a skilled user can create in it.

Exactly ... the NeoPaint section on neosoftware.com would have a link to a section on this Forum (say NeoPaint Pictorium) ... and in this section, people would post links to "images on (say) deviantart.com" that were created with NeoPaint.

Some forums allow display of such images (resident on external websites) directly within the post/thread ... don't think this option is set for this forum.

Also, some image banks enable image uploaders to "tag" images ... so images made with NeoPaint could be tagged "NeoPaint" ... so random surfers to these websites could "search by this tag ID"
I think people don't care much about looking at other people's art
... but to us "artistically challenged" folks, "seeing what is possible" is of great help/value.

I have had some images (created with NeoPaint) uploaded onto the Saatchi Gallery Online. This gallery, as you know, attracts innumerable people around the world who are interested in art. It however does not seem to have many using a computer. They might be potential users of NeoPaint.
