utilizing dlls

Postby dpayer » Sat Nov 11, 2006 10:20 am

I am looking for ways to import RFC standard messages (from .eml format) into Outlook Express. There is the drag/drop way using Windows Explorer into OE but I don't want to emulate that. I would rather have a handle on it programatically.

It would be nice to find an executable so I could so something like:

importprog.exe [filename.eml] [folder:sentitems.dbx]

but I only find programs to do exporting, not importing. There is one which can do importing, but there are no parameters so it goes to the default profile and into the inbox. This doesn't fit my need (also the program is not licensable for commercial distribution).

I see a dll in the Outlook Express folder that is named oeimport.dll. Research shows it is for importing and exporting from OE but I can't find anything on the properties of the DLL that would allow me to interact with it.

Of the dedicated programmers out there, is there a tool that can examine a dll and determine properties and methods?

Thanks for your input.
