How to Shoot Yourself in the Foot ...

Postby Gaev » Mon Oct 09, 2006 11:05 am

A humorous description of Programming Languages here ... http://www.fullduplex.org/humor/2006/10 ... -language/ ... looks at how you would "Shoot Yourself in the Foot" with each of them ... might not seem that funny if you have not deployed (suffered under) some of these languages.

Addendum: NeoBook Action Script is not mentioned in this list ... because you CAN'T Shoot Yourself in the Foot with it !!!

Sure you can...

Neobook

Shoot yourself in the foot. Sounds like an interesting idea.
I'll add it to the list.

I tried this command ...
Code: Select all
Shoot "[self]" "Foot" "Colt 45" "[Now]"
... and Neobook says I don't understand this command ... may be there is a plugin with this command ... if not, I can make a Call'ed function ...
Code: Select all
Call "gkShoot" "[self]" "Foot" "Colt 45" "[Now]"
... and have it respond with ...
Code: Select all
AlertBox "[self]" "Insert desired Foot in barrel of Colt 45|Then Pull Trigger (with your hand)"

With newLISP's help you can use the Lisp-solution from that website in neobook!
