Al Meyer or Chris: ftp passive mode

Postby Wrangler » Fri Jun 02, 2006 9:18 am

I require the ability to log in to an ftp server in passive mode. Can this feature be added to tmFTP or nzPluginFTP? I'm assuming these plugins use the command line ftp installed with windows. Is there a way I can issue the command "ftp quote passive" somewhere in my script to activate it?

Wrangler,

The command is sent to the SERVER, not your local machine.

You send it to the server as a RAW command using either plugin.

From Alberto's documentation:

PASV

Syntax: PASV

Tells the server to enter "passive mode". In passive mode, the server will wait for the client to establish a connection with it rather than attempting to connect to a client-specified port.

Thanks for the responses. Alberto's plug will do it with this command:

tmFTPCommand "PASV"

But Chris' plug doesn't have this ability, I guess. I had coded this with this plug. I'll rewrite it.
