256-bit, 512-bit & 1024-bit encryption

Postby edunaway » Mon Apr 24, 2006 10:45 am

Are there any suggestions for very strong file encryption? I do use Ronnie's FSM but it can only take a maximum of 19 characters for the passkey. I would like to have the option for much stronger encryption without having to encapsulate the file into another format, which rules out zip or Al's tmStorage.

I already have several NB functions which generate the necessary keys but I'm looking for a solution to use these keys to encrypt a file.

Al, yes, AES/Rijndael seems to be considered the best at the moment.

This open source tool may do what I need: http://ccrypt.sourceforge.net/

It is a command line utility with AES/Rijndael encryption capabilities though passing the encryption string to a command line utility is not very secure so a plugin would be more desirable.

Ok. Give me 3 days, please. Send me an e-mail. I can do it for you. It´s not difficult.
