browser question

Postby cathbhadhdonn » Mon Apr 17, 2006 5:28 am

How can I set up a favorites list with the browser that comes with neobook so people can add their favorite sites to the browser?

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks.

The folder with favorites is on the same level as the desktop in newer version of the OS (2000/XP). Since Win98-ME do not have identities in the same manner (without MS Family Logon) then you will have to search for them in another manner.

You will need to create SHORTCUTS if using LINKS and FAVORITES. I do not believe you can use the file:// 'protocol' to access them. This means you can't use the standard means of Shortcuts/Links to display in NB if you are hoping to use local resources.

Alberto has a free program to create Shortcuts on his site.

If you don't need the same resource as the MSIE on the local computer, then just create a list of resources that when clicked, they select a file name and then load that file into the MSIE/NB browser object.
