Health of forum software - ???

Postby Sam Cox » Sat Apr 03, 2004 1:53 pm

Is the forum software and its supporting scripts working well? As an experiment in response to a private request, I asked the forum to send me my password. I never received anything. I've heard, too, that some logged-in members can't post.

Health of forum software

Postby Wrangler » Sun Apr 04, 2004 8:32 am

I sometimes don't get email notifications of someone adding a reply. Did just yesterday. The forum has never been upgraded from a beta version. They are now a couple of versions ahead. Time to upgrade?

NeoSoft's web site and forum were recently moved to a new server. Unfortunately, the move caused a few glitches with some of the forum's scripts including send mail. I think everything has been fixed now. Sorry for the inconvenience.

We may upgrade the forum software soon. Our new server can handle SQL which is required for newer versions of the forum software. Of course, we want to make sure that all of the user and forum data can be moved to the new version.
