In addition to my suggestion, here is my example of a scrollbar attached to a container object.
My demo uses the plugin "hpwImage" from HPW. Download link is inside the application.

This Demo does not check for mousevent (Mousewheel), because you will get in real trouble if you have other scrollable objects like listbox on stage.
I had not enough time to find out an unproblematic solution for using mousewheel with the scrollbar. In principle it is working with MouseWheel,
but not stable for public use.

I hope this gives you an idea why i would like to have an native scrollbar, because the workaround is not that smooth

Comments are welcome. You are free to use, modify and share this demo.
Inside the zip is the pub and the compiled exe.

HPW: There is a strange behaviour. When i click with the mouse once on an arrow (up/down) and then hover over the arrow the scroller goes on and on. It does so as long as it has the focus. When in design mode you crash up neobook, because in my case the actions (...perform on change) are fired up again and again. (look at the debugger when hover an arrow)

Hello,

No idea where this behaviour come form. I use the standard ScrollbarOnChange event.

When I out-comment the MoveObject command the effekt is gone.
Code: Select all
:Scroll_it
...if scrolled, the vertical position of the child container is always negativ
 Suspend "True"
. MoveObject "child" "" "-[right_scrollbar_position]"
 Suspend "False"
Return

Maybe neosoft can explain why this happens.

Hello,

I put together a little sample with a scroll-container on the masterpage.

http://www.hpwsoft.de/anmeldung/html1/n ... llTest.pub

It will show up through the gap, the page containers leave.
Scrolling in one direction is easy, in both direction it might need some more scripting.

Edit: After some tests it makes no difference to have the Container on the masterpage or the Container in a Container on the same page.

Edit2: But my demo also shows the effekt with the ongoing event on mouse-hover. neobook seems to buffer mouse event faster than the action-code perform. Dave?
