Is there an F key or other shortcut for compile/publish. None is listed by the menu item. I think that would be convenient.

A function key would make my life much easier. :)

I have an ergonomic keyboard with the keys on two upright side panels. It's very awkward to do alt or ctrl key combinations.

Code: Select all

Kind of defeats the object of it doesn`t it?

Seriously though - Interesting and thanks for posting Vicki.. I've never seen one of those keyboards before.

I used to answer tech support emails, sometimes hundreds a day. That keyboard has saved me from carpal tunnel surgery. :)

I think Dave is running out of F keys ... perhaps he can add an icon (next to the one for Run (from this Page) ... so you can compile with just one click of the mouse.

If not, you can consider some keyboard/keystroke re-mapping software like ...

Auto Hotkey - http://www.autohotkey.com/
AutoIt - http://www.autoitscript.com/site/

... might even be able to develop a NeoBook Application to do this with the NeoBookKB plugin.

So you can setup your computer so one of the lesser used F Keys (e.g. F11) is remapped to Alt+B plus C

I like the icon on the toolbar idea too :)

Actually have autohotkey, didn't think of using that, duh!

Using AutoHotKey it's really simple:
Code: Select all
#IfWinActive, NeoBook
F12::send, !bc                                  ;change Hotkey to your wishes
return
#IfWinActive
Pressing F12 starts the compile dialog.

Compile button seems to work fine. I like it. :)
