Follow mouse cursor

Postby Bernardo » Thu Mar 06, 2008 11:04 pm

Hi Dave and everybody,

It would be good to have this function in NeoBook. When you click in a button/object it could follow the mouse movement, without the need to hold the left button down. Useful for example in puzzles. Using a timer object we could make something similar too, with getmousepos and moveobject, but maybe an another action to make this possible.

All the best

Bernardo:

This effect can be (has been) done with existing facilities ...

i) capturing the offset of the object's top left corner from current mouse position at time of click

ii) starting a Timer object

iii) in the TimerInterval section, obtaining the current mouse position and doing a MoveObject so the top left corner of the object is at the same offset as when the button was first clicked
