Extended debugger

Postby HPW » Sun Sep 02, 2007 9:24 am

2 extensions for the debugger:

In the variables tab a click on the first column header 'Variable' should sort the list alphabeticly.

Like the Actions-Tab the Variables-Tab should get a right-click popup when right-clicking in the variables-column.
There a option 'Select All' and 'Copy' should be choosable.
The right column should be aligned with filling spaces so all variable-content start at the same column.

Totally agree 100%.

Also, might I sugest that a filter. If I want to see only variables starting with "A" I should be able to filter and see only those. Or perhaps a filter mask.

It would make the debugger more usefull because in pubs with alot of variables I spend alot of time looking for the specific variables I am interested in.

Good ideas! I will make sure they are added to the list.

Hi

Besides that it will be nice if you put the mouse over any variable it shows its value as a tooltip text... as VBasic does.

A line in the debugger's action-tab is limited to 256 Bytes.

After introducing hpwNewLispDebug I had longer debug-info which gets cut off.

Of cource neobook commands may not get that long, but would it hurt to make longer commands possible?

(A neobook/plugin command may also have very long text-parameters)
