A couple of tips...

Postby David de Argentina » Wed Apr 25, 2007 8:53 am

Hi Dave,

A couple of tips.

CloseCustomWindow doesnt work at design mode on my XP pro 2002 SP2. It works as normal when program is compiled.

I had noticed Internet Browser object doesnt refresh data properly with Internet Explorer 7.

Thanks in advance,

I use CustomWindows a lot in my (current) applications ... they seem to work just fine.

As it might be happening under specific conditions ... perhaps you might want to provide more details of your usage ... the contents of the CustomWindow ... the options used with CustomWindow command ... are there one or more CustomWindows displayed simultaneously ... and if so, in what order ... etc. etc.

Yes, CloseCustomWindow also works correctly for me.

I had noticed Internet Browser object doesnt refresh data properly with Internet Explorer 7.

We haven't encountered any problems with IE7. Can you give us an example that demonstrates the refresh problem you've encountered?

Hi Dave,

Its hard to do a isolated sample.

I use the Internet Object in order to retreive a HTML as text chat.

This HTML is recreated each moment someone write something.

there are a fully functional sample at this link:

http://soporte.byethost7.com/Distribucion.zip

Press "Mi Sala de Chat" Button. (second button at top left screen)

Set Local Port (Puerto Local) as 18000

Press Reconnect Button (Reconectar)

Write some lines of text. You must receive an echo of yourself.

If screen doesnt refresh automatically, press F5

Program works fine with IE6.

Thanks again,

David,

The download link doesn't work.

NeoBook's browser object is essentially just a copy of Internet Explorer. 99% of the browser object's functionality comes directly from IE. If a web site works in IE it should also work in NeoBook. If a web site doesn't work in IE then it probably won't work in NeoBook.

Sorry Dave,

These webserver doesnt allow download files.

Try this link:

http://specialapps.software-zone.com/fi ... bucion.zip

I tested this routines at IE6 and lower, and works fine...

A IE7 tester tells me Internet Explorer Object doesnt refresh each time we write some text. He pressed F5 key in order to fetch latest text.

Perhaps it is her own IE7 configuration.... I dont know.

Thanks again,

Hi David,

I downloaded your application and followed your instructions. Everything appeared to be working correctly. The browser window echoed back whatever I typed. If it's not working for you then it may have something to do with your IE settings, firewall, Java, etc.
