Execute Source Code...

Postby David de Argentina » Mon Feb 26, 2007 11:43 am

Hi Dave,

I think there are a good idea if NeoBook Compiler could execute source code loaded from a TXT file (or within a variable).

function could be some like this

NeoExecSource "File.TXT"

or

NeoExecSource "[variable]"

TXT file could be some like this:

ObjectType=8
Name=Texto1
X=0
Y=455
W=640
H=25
Anchor=2
Font=Arial
FontSize=9
FontStyle=0
FontCharset=1
TextColor=0
Text={\rtf1\ansi\deff0\deftab254{\fonttbl{\f0\fnil\fcharset1 Arial;}}{\pard{\ql\li0\fi0\ri0\sb0\sl\sa0 \plain\f0\fs18\cf0\b (c) 2006, \plain\f0\fs18\cf0\b\uldb Aplicaciones Especiales\plain\f0\fs18\cf0\b\v InternetLink "http://www.aplicaciones-especiales.tk"\plain\f0\fs18\cf0\b , Buenos Aires, Rep\'fablica Argentina}}}
HMargin=4
VMargin=4
LineColor=0
LineWidth=1
LineStyle=0
FillColor=12632256
FillPattern=0
TabOrder=1

This function could allow to create objects on execution time, very usefull when user is working with dinamic data.

Thanks in advance,

Thanks David. This is a very interesting idea. I will make sure it's added to the list of things to consider.

Hi...

I total agree with you David... Also a command to export an object (who has actions) on run time in a special protected format with password will be nice...

Example:

LoadSourceObject "Path\file" "Password" "Left of object will appear" "Top of object will appear"

ExportSourceObject "Path\file" "Password" "Name of object"

ExecSourceObject "Name of object"

All insertable objects will have a prefix on they name, for example NobPushButton1 so we don't have problems on double objects.

A possible extension for object files is *.nob (Neobook object file)

Thanks

Pretty neat idea, importing/exporting on the fly.

Another idea (for the time being) and for certain scenarios...

You can have an object off the screen and pull it onto the screen for use.

*** Again, this is an idea that would work for certain situations.

For exec a neoscript you can use 'call' (or hpwPlayMacro etc.)

And creating objects is on the wish list for some time now:
