Hmm... all of my programs show on the screen. Where do yours? :)

(by on-screen display are you talking about the settings for the monitor itself, ie brightness, contrast, image size, etc?)

OSD is a method that overprint a text or simple image on screen. Like a control volume of the tv.

But isn't that a function of the monitor using built in controls?

I have never seen an application interact with those functions (brightness, contrast, etc).

Not, I has seen a many examples.

Now, I have a code of Visual Basic, and I search a C++ code. Yes is true, with a simple code, you put a words on the screen. You can search on google or same searcher and you can find information.

Have you looked at the 'Custom shaped window' in 'Window Style' feature.
With that you can make partly transparent windows.
