Hi Hans-Peter,

On my WIN2K system, NeoBook crashes running Image.pub with hpwImage.npb version 1.23.  Actually the PUB seems to work just fine but when I press ESC or the little hand icon to halt the program, NeoBook crashes.  Can anyone else duplicate or is it just my system?  All of my other (non-hpwImage) pubs work properly.

Sam,

I can not reproduce it here on my WIN XP system.

I have only add the one command and changed not other areas. And it seems to run quite stable until now, because no one pop up here.

Sam,

Just tested at the office on WIN2K and NT4.
Both run fine like the WIN XP PC.

Forgotten info!

This is also supported:

hpwImageDrawLines "RImage1" "[PubDir]pointli.txt" "|" "clRed"

content of file pointli.txt:
100
100
200
100
200
200
300
200

Has to be a valid filename with extension!

I would appreciate it if you would explain the benefits or uses in exporting an image to a rtf varaible.

Thanks

Hmm, you can do a lot of things. As you can see in the demo I have a articel object with the variable inside. When the variable contain the RTF-stream the articel show the image, which is scrollable with the articel. With this you should be able to write an RTF with mixed image and Text. You can try it and modify the test.RTF and type some text before and after the Variable.

Another option was (before Dave the picture-field in DB) to store the RTF-stream in a text-field or file. All what you can do with text.

Hello Hans Peter,

as i said before i am fascinated about your plugin work. because of the fact all your plugins are free i feel a little bit ashamed of asking, but

is it possible to expand the hpwImage with the ability to rotate a picture?

This would make the plugin more complete. (and it would meet my needs btw.)

Thanks for thinking about that

Greetings from Germany
Klaus

Hallo Klaus,

>Greetings from Germany

Ditto.

What do you want to reach?
Rotation for quadratic areas?
Rotating the whole image?
The rectangle should stay as it is?

I will add this to my list! :-)

(No I have no list, when I ran into a problem or need than I give it a try. So plugins evolve over time. So I will have a look, when I have some free time. Other ideas are also still waiting.)

Hans Peter,

i would like to be able to rotate the whole image.

To explane: i made a database for my own use with nebook to store and administrate my digital pictures.

now it would be a handy thing if the pub could rotate an image by the press of a button if i have a picture in portrait format.

Thats why.

Greetings
Klaus

So it would be a Rotation of a file?
Should it be a new file or overwriting the old?
