Transfering data from MySQL to MS Access...

Hi all

My new project needs to move data located into a remote MySQL Server to a local MS Access database.

Each time program starts, connects to the remote MySQL database, extracts new registers from 2 tables, and put the result into a response webpage.

I think each time program starts, i need update the local MS Access database with 100 to 500 records for each table.

Records contains Varchar, Numeric and DateTime fields.

The question is:

What is the fastest method to import the data into the local MS Access database ?

I use the NeoBookDBPro plugin for this program.

Thanks in advance

I would think the easiest and fastest method would be to export from MySQL to CSV, then import into the Access table via DBPro.

Thanks Dave,

I'm doing the same.

BTW: What character are you using as record separator ? [#13]? [#10]? another one ?

Thanks in advance,

The CSV file is a standard ASCII format so the line break should be CR+LF or [#13][#10].
