Hi all,

I'm doing a plugin using the wrapper of the Windows Media Player services.

In fact, it will be a cuasi-complete replacement of the mediaplayer object of NeoBook with some enhancements:

* Live video streamming from internet
* Live radio streamming from internet
* Plays audio CD files (.cda)
* Plays video DVD files (.VOB)
* another services.

The demo (beta1) of the compiled EXE is at:

http://specialapps.software-zone.com/fi ... Player.zip

Please, tell me if it works properly on your computer ( and say me your OS version )

Thanks in advance,
David de Argentina

Nice one!
Seems to be working on Windows 7 64bit.

Would be cool if you could add these features:
- a seamless loop feature. Forum Thread
- playback rate/speed

Thanks all,

Sample updated.

Added frame capture as BMP file capabilities.
Tested with almost all media format that Media Player supports, and works fine.

Please, re download the sample from the first post link.

Thanks again !

i tested a Audio CD which is working.
playing .vob files, i was not able to select the menu with the mouse or keys, watching a movie is not possible since the menu is included in all files.

Please add "a seamless loop" and "playback rate/speed" feature and you will get your first customer :-)

cheers

Thanks Scherzkeks,

I added these features.

Note: i tested the rate control and works with .WMV and a few .AVI files only.

Please, re download the sample from the link of the first post.

Tell me if it is ok for you.

Thanks again,
David de Argentina

Great, the sample rate is working fine. the loop feature does not create a seamless loop. i tested with a wav file wich is looping perfectly.

vob menu is still not working, did you change something?

im in holidays for the next 10 days.

I think it will don't be possible.

If you launch the "real" media player (start -> run -> mplayer2; the rest are skins ) you can see that not has DVD capabilities.

I think there are a private API that does the work, but nothing is documented on the specific forums on internet.

Sorry, no DVD support for the moment.
