Postby dec » Mon Jul 04, 2011 11:51 am

Hi Neobooker's!

The npMsgs plugin can be used in order to communicate one or more publication with others. A publication can be a sender, and others publications can be receivers. The sender can send calls and strings to the receivers and this make something.

To get more information and download the npMsgs follow this link. And please, remember that I expect your feedback and others comments about the plugin. I hope you enjoy this plugin and that can be use it in your publications to enhanced it.

Thank you!

Hi..

Looks very promising.
If the sender and receiver are on different PC's can communicate...???
In other words, can work through internet.?
Is possible to send NB commands or files beside the string...???

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for your reply!

Not, the sender(s) and receiver(s) must be executed in the same machine.

Is possible to send NB commands or files beside the string...???

The Windows limit for the string is 255 chars max. So a good think is to send certain "commands", use some "language" to communicate with receivers.

For example, if you want to send a file to a receiver, you can send the file path, not the file "as is". For the other hand, I cant understand very well that you call "NB commands".

In any case the plugin is based on the Windows API and the 255 chars max is established by Windows, not by the plugin. I hope you can understand me.

Thanks for your reply again! :)

Hello dec,

Nice you see you back in plugin-developement.
But the new plugin seems to be very similar to hpwRemote.
Since it is available since 2003 I hope it is not a problem for you. :?:

Regards

Of course not problem! (almost for me, tell me if you found anyone!) In fact I dont know your hpwRemote and maybe I think dont work in my plugin if I first found your plugin, but, in any case, the customer can choose one of them now!

Thank very much for your welcome Hans! I appreciate it!
