Just released initial hpwDCR 1.0: ... ook23.html

hpwDcrCreate=Create a DCR-window.
hpwDcrRemove=Remove a DCR-window and knowledge-base.
hpwDcrLoadKnowledgebase=Load a knowledgebase with parameters into DCR-window.
hpwDcrLoadPicture=Load a picture into DCR-window.
hpwDcrRecognize=Rocognize the text in loaded picture and save to variable.

Based on Delphi DCR by Theo Zacharias ... 3&lngWId=7

It uses a standard backpropagation neural net object for character recognition.
A compiled version of Delphi DCR.exe is included for training purposes.
The DCR.exe is compiled with the GraphicEx-Import Lib to support more file-formats.

Be aware that it does/can not compete with professional OCR-Software.
(For me it is usefull to read from screenshots)

I get a mail from a user from that my download was broken.
(Someone has attacked my download-PHP again.)
I try to reply but my mail bounced back.
(reason: 550 #5.7.1 Your access to submit messages to this e-mail system has been rejected.)
I restored my counter-file so now it should work.

Just released hpwDCR 1.02: ... ook23.html

New Variable: [hpwDCRFontSmoothing] - Detection of system setting for fontsmoothing on startup.
New Variable: [hpwDCRCleartype] - Detection of system setting for cleartype on startup.

With FontSmoothing enabled OCR with this methods gets impossible.

However I noticed a side-effect when hpwImage is linked within the same pub.
[hpwDCRCleartype] gets reported 'disabled' even when it is 'enabled'.
You can delete the button 'MIME Load Picture' from the demo, to see the variable without this effect.
