Sound Recorder

Postby remlap » Mon May 21, 2007 9:11 am

Does any know of a Sound Recorder Plugin which actually works? I've tried using David de Argentina's NeoSound Recorder, but even running his demo file results is a total system crash.

If there is no plugin available, does anyone know of a good command line recorder for windows which saves to mp3?

Cheers

I didn't see any when I looked before. It is possible to run the Windows recorder and then convert the wav file with a command line utility. Unfortunately, the only free command line converter I found http://processtext.com/abcmp3wav.html seemed to take a loooooonnnnnngggggg time to convert. It may depend on bit depth of recording, Im not sure.

Why not try that out and see if it works for you.

Hi Remlap,

Can you tell me what kind of error did you received?

I tested this plugin in dozens of pc's with diferent OS versions, and it worked fine at all...

Thanks in advance,

Hello David.

After a couple of mins your demo became non-responsive and either required Crtl+Alt+Del or a system reboot if left.

I'm using XP sp2 (all update)

Hi Remlap.

Plugin calls mci commands internally.
Do you give the same problem with another sound recorders?
