How about covering your Rectangle where the dbfShowTable is targeted ... with a button with a transparent background and no text (so user is not aware of its presence) ... then in its click section ...

a) invoke the dbfGetRecordCount

b) ReSize the button to a minimal size (say 1 pixel by 1 pixel)

c) invoke ClickMouse ... so it will do whatever you wanted it to do without the transparent shield (button)

d) invoke dbfGetRecordNumber

e) ReSize the button to its original size ... so it covers the Rectangle once again

You should be able to use the OnChange subroutine for this. It should be executed whenever a click on the grid results in a different record/row being selected.
