Problem with NeoDB and Memo Fields

Postby Kevin McGinley » Thu Jan 18, 2007 3:43 pm

I have noticed when using multiuser databases with memo fields, that sometimes the integrity of the memo field is lost. I have been able to reproduce using the Address Book example what I noticed in a program I created for work. Namely, when I have multiple versions of a program open using the same db (multiuser, that is), if I create a new record in one program, the data in the memo field open in the other program bleed into the memo field in the newly created file. When I check, then, both records, the data in both memo fields is corrupted (the bleed over compromises both memo fields.) Has anyone else noticed anything like this?

I haven't been able to reproduce this problem here, but it could be a corrupted index. Check the folder where your database file reside and delete and *.ndx or *.mdx files you find there. You might also try packing the database and see if that helps.
