Editors toolbox 2.0

Postby TonyL » Fri Dec 01, 2006 7:44 pm

:?: Anyone have any information about when the beta release of Editors toolbox 2.0 will be released? I seem to recall a post that implied it would be sometime in late 2006.

Thanks in advance,

Tony

:D That’s great news and a great Christmas present. Looking forward to testing the beta release. And thank you once again for making this plug available to the Neobook community.

Just curious. Will it provide support for tables in the rtf editor?

Editors Toolbox 2.0

Postby FM » Wed Jan 17, 2007 12:38 am

Is it possible (or will be) to put two or more independent text editor rectangles in the same page or pub? I think it is not possible in current version.

Thanks.

Editors Toolbox 2.0

Postby FM » Wed Feb 07, 2007 7:34 am

Since Editors Toolbox 2.0 won't be available soon :( , I was looking for conversion methods from RTF with images to HTML with images.

I have found 2: IRun Dll and Martha24 (command line)

This converters can convert Rtf with images generated by MS Word and others.

But the RTF with images generated by Editors Toolbox are not convertible to HTML with images (mentioned converters are not able to).

Any idea? Any news about the release? Any news about the promised ftgtools.exe by Luke?

Remember: RTF 'contains' images by encoding them and embedding that into the file. HTML 'references' pictures by where they are located. That means they have to reside somewhere (on their own, not in the document), either on the local disk that the HTML file is on or somewhere on the net.

If you have a RTF doc, you need to determine the location of the pic(s) in the doc, clip out the encoded value of the pic(s), convert the remaining text based RTF to HTML and then reinsert the pics by writing the HTML in the manner that will integrate them properly.

RTF to HTML

Postby FM » Thu Feb 08, 2007 1:00 am

Thank you. I know all this. What I tried to say is that the converters can work with RTF doing all this (extracting images to external files), except with those RTF files generated by Text Editors Toolbox.
