I tried the plug-in too, but it didn't work with my Postgres database, maybe it only works with MySQL. Zonealarm gives alarm because of connecting to an unknown IP, when connecting to the database. So I cancelled testing. :(

I downloaded and tried also an older version from 2005, but there was a severe error when connecting to the server, crashing NB.:(

Hi Gemlik,

Thanks a lot for evaluate my develops.

NeoMySQL has a odd behavior... depending server capabilities...

in fact, i only can connect using www.freesql.org databases... but another users can connect fine...

On the other hand, i just checked what version is available to download. previous version cant handle large fields... This new one, is a wrapper to the oficial MySQL library. It uses the Hans-Peter HPWDllCall plugin and works -as another users tells me- fine....

Tell me all you need,

Best regards,

I just asked a NeoMySQL plugin user if he can leave a small database sample on his server... in order you can test the plugin...

I hope send you server data values on the next days....

cheers,

Postby gemlik » Fri Aug 18, 2006 4:05 pm

If you test your database develops, you may use polling database sample on my server.

Its config values:

http://www.boyalikli.com
<?
$db_server = "localhost";
$db_name = "gemlik_poll";
$db_uname = "gemlik_neobook";
$db_pass = "neobook";
?>

Tables :

poll
poll_answers

I hope you don't need anything.

B.Regards...

Hello all...

try with this sample:

(I suggest you use the mysql2eng.dll library + Hans-Peter HPWDllCall plugin for better results)

Server: 195.37.181.195

User: 206ipublic

Password: EhU3fyc+

Database: 206ipublic

Port: 3306

Sample table: neobookers (select * from neobookers, etc.)

I tested it and everything worked fine...

I know this is a german server. If you want know about them, i'll ask this user about what is this server.

Cheers,

David de Argentina

Hello All,

I had installed FoxServ 3.1 Beta 1 on my pc.
After this, i started MySQL server engine and created a new demo user.

Now, i can connect and handle successfuly NeoMySQL plugin with a localhost MySQL server... This is incrediblely fast....

If anyone are interested on this... i can teach the steps to got it.

David´s plugin works fine !

Postby impulsmedia » Thu Aug 31, 2006 5:10 am

Hi there!
I just read the discussion about David´s plugin and the only thing I can say: It works fine for me and with every database / table I created on my server. Although I´m not very expierienced in mySQL all my testings has been sucsessfull til now. If interested, feel free to ask David for a sample I send to him. It uses a simple table on my server and you can check out the possibilities. But please be careful and don´t delete all records :wink:

Just on hint: I´ve got some problem also in the beginning and one of the main faults was to use a http:// prefix for the server adress / name

kind regards from Germany
Walter
thanks in advance and greetings from Germany,
Walter
