********************************************
Attention: IT IS NOT A EASY TO USE PLUGIN. Besides the included user guide and 6 DETAILED examples, IT IS NOT A COMPLETE application inside the plugin. Neobook developer must have to code their apps. Lots of code was put to easier the development cycle to you. It gives you some powerful commands at your hands.

Part of tmInternetSuite

tmSMTPRelay PlugIn is a Neobook plugin with a INTERNAL SMTP server that can send multiple email messages and verify email addresses. This technique is the heart and soul for building email address validators or builk mailer applications. As long as you have an internet connection, you can send emails from anywhere in the world. You don´t need any external SMTP server or mess with login password to send emails messages. You can send plain text (with attachments), html, embedded graphics HTML or EML messages. This plugin is not a e-mail composer plugin. It´s a SMTP relay server, but, TechMedia put some methods to allow you compose your mail messages. You can customize each message before send, with your Neobook scripting skills. Some servers do not accept this kind of connection. It´s very useful for developers who want to receive e-mails in their servers and don´t want their users taking care about SMTP servers, logons, ports and passwords.

That´s it

Cheers

A little more about this plugin. Some time ago, is this forum, there was a discussion about our users send emails to us and how some server´s parameters need to be configurated by our final users (most of then neophits). This plugin is just for this kind of stuff: as we have our domains, like techmediasoftware.com, or neosoftware.com, for example, we can accept emails sent buy this plugin easily. So, let´s say, your application produce an error log that you want to receive by e-mail. Just send this error log via this plugin, without to configure almost nothing and silently. The final user does not have to configure nothing on SMTP side, because the plugin IS a SMTP Server. That´s is the main purpose of this plugin.

Now, if you want to produce a bulk mailer, etc, be aware that some server block such "intimate" contact, because it is very used by SPAMMERS.

Alberto, usually the term smtp relay indicates something accepts mail (inbound from the Internet) and then relays it to another server. Does this plugin accept connections on port 25 from other mail servers?

Does it accept mail for processing to specific accounts?

Or is this primarily a sending/outbound SMTP server?

For Delphi/C++ developers, this term, generally, is used for software that Contains a SMTP internally.

This plugins IS a SMTP server. If you receive an email, you can relay it with this plugin. The MAIN purpose is put this plugin in your pub, and let your user send email to you without troubles.

Or is this primarily a sending/outbound SMTP server?

Alberto,

I am looking at this plugin but I don't see the way to differentiate between those who the message is TO and those who get a CC or BCC.

It appears all messages are sent TO the final recipient. This is not necessarily bad as you don't bundle many names together for others to see or for a list to be lost inside the message. Was this done by design?

Sure. You can add 10 recipients and start, for example, 10 connections, for example. Or, you can add 10 recipients and start 2 connections, for example, etc, etc. There´s not a BC or CC concept is such type of component. A lot of e-mail programs use this concept to work, like 32Bit Email Broadcaster or WorldCast, for example.
