hpwtreeview questions

Postby eb » Thu Jul 06, 2006 2:34 pm

Hi,

I'm trying the hpwtreeview plugin. I have read the related topics on forum but
i have basic questions about some functions.

1.- In hpwTreeViewAddNode and hpwTreeViewInsNode what are third and fourth parameters?

2.- In hpwTreeViewAddChildNode what are fourth and fifth parameters?

3.- In hpwTreeViewExpandNode what's the third parameter?

Thanks guys for the forum and Hans for your plug-ins.

Sorry for my english

Hans: A little text file explaining parameters would be very helpful with your plugs. The sample pubs only tell you so much. Can sometimes take hours to figure them out by trial and error. And if you get an error, it is in German.

1.- In hpwTreeViewAddNode and hpwTreeViewInsNode what are third and fourth parameters?

They are a index (zero-based) to the image-list build like this:

.External images
SetVar "hpwTreeViewImageList" "[PubDir]Node1.bmp|[PubDir]Node2.bmp"
.or NB5 from EXE
.SetVar "[hpwTreeviewImageFromExe]" "1"
.SetVar "hpwTreeViewImageList" "[Embedded]Node1.bmp|[Embedded]Node2.bmp"

The third is the image to show in the tree and the fourth the image when it is selected.

2.- In hpwTreeViewAddChildNode what are fourth and fifth parameters?

Same as above.

3.- In hpwTreeViewExpandNode what's the third parameter?

When set to "1" it expand also all subnodes of the selecteted node recursivly. Any other value only expand the one level.

The error's come from my german delphi. So it not so easy to me to change that. Since we have the new NBR-feature my plan is to move all plugins to some better wizard interface (some of the latest plugins show this) where always a minimum explanation will show the parameter meaning. But this is work in progress and time consuming (with small free resources)

(I will travel on holiday for 2 weeks and I am not sure to have web-access there, so on further questions be patient)
