Sending keys to non Neobook dialogs ..

Postby Luke » Tue Jul 04, 2006 7:48 am

am using this code to dispaly the winows "add printer dialog " from neobook.
and it works . it uses rundll32.exe

code :
Run "[WindowsDir]RunDLL32.EXE" "SHELL32.DLL,SHHelpShortcuts_RunDLL AddPrinte" "Normal" "" ""

Now i want to send keys like ... Enter , tab and so on to the Dialog ...
how can i accomplish this taSK WITHOUT ANY PLUGINS ?

ARE THERE ANY PLUGINS WHICH DO THAT ?

if you modifiy you code just a bit to add the variable at the end you can use NEOBOOKS Sendkeys command and it should work fine.

code :
Run "[WindowsDir]RunDLL32.EXE" "SHELL32.DLL,SHHelpShortcuts_RunDLL AddPrinter" "Normal" "" "[appid]"
SendKeys "[appid]" "Your text here"

Have you tried to send keys like ... tab and enter ...
to window dialogs ? has it worked for you ?

it does not work fr me .....

as you know we are attempting to send button not to applications ..
rather to window dialogs .... here i guess .. the aPPROACH SHOULD BE IDENTIFYING THE IDS OF THE DIALOGS FIRST ... I GUESS

You may be able to make it work using Hans' hpwSendkeys. This plug seriously needs an explanation of parameters, which Hans is working on, but by studying the sample pub, and a little trial and error, it will probably do what you want.
