There are interesting and good news about using GPL-newlisp with closed source scripts here:

http://newlispfanclub.alh.net/forum/vie ... f=2&t=3903

This should allow to deliver the DLL again with a neobook app.

I upload a new hpwNewLISP 2.34a:

http://www.hpwsoft.de/anmeldung/html1/n ... ook14.html

New upload with latest (10.4) newLISP.dll again (allowed by newer GNU GPL License news)

So it should run out of the zip again without additional install.
And it could be used/embedded in closed source projects without license problems!!

Avira Antivirus detects this file as dangerous newlisp.dll (hpwPdScript, hpwNewLISP)

Code: Select all
https://www.virustotal.com/file/d86d838414da85148b329a44815bb2db3a3a458ccf1b2a72ac01cd1479b529a3/analysis/1352459287/

How can we avoid positive Avira?

Thanks

Hello,

I tried it on virustotal and get 3 of 44 false positiv

AntiVir BDS/Backdoor.Gen
TrendMicro PAK_Generic.001
TrendMicro-HouseCall PAK_Generic.001

I then tried a fresh newlisp.dll without UPX-packing and get no more false positiv.
I uploaded a unpacked fresh dll here:

http://hpwsoft.de/anmeldung/html1/newLISP/newlisp.zip

You may try this with your Avira.

Hello,

Another optipn would be to download the newlisp distribution (www.newlisp.org) and get the Dll from there.

The strange thing with the antivirus-packages is the fact that the plugin itself is also UPX packed and that there no virus alert is detected.
Dealing with false positives is still a problem for small developers.
