WebBrowser object HTTPS error in debug mode

Postby Tony Kroos » Thu Jul 31, 2014 9:54 am

I was trying to display a https:// page in Webbrowser object (for ex. https://www.google.com). This https page loading okay in design mode, but in debug mode I keep getting "Navigation was cancelled" IE page error. Tried different object settings - no luck. However, it loads okay when compiled. Not a big issue, but it cost me some time...

The Web Browser should work the same in test/debug mode as it does when compiled. However, in test/debug mode the name of the exe is different. If you're using a firewall then it may not recognize the test/debug file name and block Internet access.

this time I managed to find one )
if there's a syntax error in webbrowser tabs, it hangs up debugger completely - http://oi59.tinypic.com/15fkkg7.jpg
How to reproduce:
- place some actions with syntax errors at Download(Begin/Complete) tab in WebBrowser object
- when error found, click "Edit script"
- bam, open task manager and close debugger manually

I'll add that to the list of things to look into for the next update. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
