Hello NeoBooker,

I want to incorporate to my npUtil plugin certain action in order to execute a Wake On Lan routine, but I need help in order to test if this routine really work or what. Can you please help me in order to test this? If yes, download this sample program:

http://neoplugins.com/?download/wol.zip

Is an small executable with just an edit box and a button. You need to specify the MAC address of the machine in order to send the WOL message. Then press the "Go!" button and, please, tell me if all work like expected, or if some error ocurr or any other comment.

Thank you in advance!

Hello,

Well. In principle the "The WOL are executed without errors" message mean that the implied code are executed without exceptions. The fact is that the WOL cannot produce any "response" or feedback in order to know if the "command" has been executed. So, if no errors appear (the message you can view is not an error, but the message that say: "No error appear") the WOL is executed...

This confuse me, since I try with three differents implementations: two using an UDP packet and one using Windows Sockets. I cant try this, since I don't have any other machine in lan. Maybe another mate can try all the above executables (I listed bellow too) in order to test if work or not. At this time I cannot find another possible implementation of a WOL... so I cannot provide more "test executables" right now.

However thank you again for your efforts. I still interesting on this and may looking for another possible way. In this case I add in this thread another message with the appropiate test executable. Thank you again and sorry!

Here is the list of the past "test executables" for anyone that want to try and help:

http://neoplugins.com/?download/wol3.zip

It's a pleasure to help you David, no problem with that.
Also, as npUtil plugin owner, I am interested in these tests work properly :P
If I can help with anything else feel free to ask. You got my email too.

One more thing ... I have two monitors and have seen that the WOL program, running in the middle of the two monitors, not in the center of the main monitor.
This also happens when I use the option to check for updates on your plugins.

Greetings.

This is something to the screen position related. I use the "poDesktopCenter" flag in this test executables and maybe the same in the plugins updater form. Well. I can try with other flag like "poScreenCenter". In fact I use this last flag in the latest test executable... so you can tell me two things this time: if the WOL work and if the program window appear more friendly now. ;)
