selected a field in dbpro and get data?

Postby yanzco » Mon Jan 19, 2015 12:37 pm

hi guys, wondering if this is possible...

if i left click a record in the gridview..

is it possible to get data in the field selected and do a subroutine?

ex:
name, age, sex
andrew, 14, m
andrea, 15, f

if i click record 1 ( row selection)
or if i click andrew (field)..

i can show all related data from andrew in another rectangle..

simply, just letting neobook know that when a field is leftclicked...
1. gets the selected field to a variable
2. does a subroutine

i know this is possible with the double click function in dbpro..

but i wanna know if its possible with a single click...

Reproduced from the Help file ...
dbpOpenTable "database id" "table" "subroutine"

database id
The name assigned to the database containing the table you want to open.

table
The name of the table you wish to open.

subroutine
The name of a subroutine from your publication's Subroutine Action. The subroutine specified here will be automatically executed whenever the table is updated or the current record number changes. This can be useful if you want to activity to take place whenever the reader displays a different record. Subroutines are entered from the Actions page of NeoBook's Book Properties screen. NeoBook's help file contains more information on using subroutines.

In the specified subroutine, you can get access to all fields of the currently selected record e.g. ...

[yourDB.yourTable.name]
[yourDB.yourTable.age]
[yourDB.yourTable.sex]
