User-mapped section open

Postby BRobinsonS » Tue Jan 07, 2014 11:37 am

First time I got this message when compiling this particular program
The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open

And Neobook continues and finishes compiling the program and seems to be Ok.

Any thoughts?

I haven't seen that error with NeoBook before, but it sounds like the file you're trying to write to (your pub exe) is either running or being accessed by another application. Make sure the exe isn't running, otherwise it could be your virus scanner trying to scan the exe at the same time you're compiling it. Most virus scanners have an option to let you exclude certain files or folders. This is very useful when you're a software developer.

If all else fails, restarting your computer should clear up the problem.

Strange it just started to show up when trying to solve my Sql in the other subject.
Don't think it's the anti-virus. Hasn't been an issue.

Of course, as long as the EXE compiles, I am OK.
