DBpro How to create a custom Grid with some fields

Postby martincalatrava » Mon Jan 16, 2012 12:44 am

Hi, I need to know How I can create a Custom grid only with some fields of a table, not all fields.

I need too to know how can I open a database to allow all users to open it automatically. The database is on the same app directory allways but I would like to avoid to specify the full databae path.

Thanks a lot

You can use DBPro's dbpSetColumnOrder action to limit the grid display to specific fields. The dbpSetGridProperties, dbpSetColumnWidths and other actions can be used to further customize the grid's appearance.

Use NeoBook's [PubDir] global variable instead of a literal path. For example:

dbpOpenAccessDatabase "DB1" "[PubDir]AddressBook.mdb" ""

dbpSetColumnOrder Error

Postby martincalatrava » Mon Jan 23, 2012 1:02 am

Thanks for your response.

When I use dbpSetColumnOrder into my app I receive an Acess Violation error, only when I use this command. I have neobook 5.7.1 and dbpro 1.6a. Please help me.

Thanks

I cannot reproduce this problem here.

Can you send us a small sample pub file and database that we can use to reproduce the error?
