Report problem with queried data

Postby donmichel » Wed Jun 22, 2011 11:53 am

I use the following query to copy records to a new table:
SELECT * INTO asd FROM Admission_Register WHERE AdGroup="[ComboBox2]" AND AdDivision="[TextEntry125]"
Then after opening the table asd I use the following code to generate a report
dbpPreviewReport "AdReg" "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Desktop\classwise.dbr" "DisplayMode=100%;InitialPage=1"
There are fifty records in the table but only the first record prints fifty times. I have placed the proper field variables in the data body partition and it works well with the table Admission_Register. What could be wrong? The report doesn't work with temporary tables either.

The problem was corrected when a new report file was created. It seems that that when we edit a report file, connections with the database table are not correctly established. So when I changed the source table the report began to behave in strange ways. Seems to be a minor editing problem with the report tool.
