dbpImportFromCSV - I need some help

Postby BenX » Tue May 31, 2011 8:09 am

Hi,

After looking at all the topics for dbpImportFromCSV , trying different examples as I am very new to NeoBook. I am still having the issue that when I import an csv file into my access database it will show no record. I do not have any error message and the rest is working.

Here is the code that I am using to import from a file.
----------------------------
If "[Result]" "=" "True"
MessageBox "[PubTitle]" "Would you like to update the Container list?" "Yes|No" "[Result]"
If "[Result]" "=" "1"
.Import data into the mailbox table
dbpImportFromCSV "DBExchange" "Mailbox" "[PubDir]MailboxContainer.csv" "Delimiter=,;ContainsFieldNames=Yes;MatchFieldNames=Yes"
Endif
Endif
-----------------------------

I really don't know what I should do after this. Can someone please help me?

Thanks in advance. :)

Export the current DB to a CSV and hava a look at the CSV Format.
Maybe you're trying to import a different CSV than the DB itself.

I have tried what you suggest.
dbpExportToCSV worked fine. I have all the information form the DB.

The delimiter is the same ',' for both.

I don't get it. I am starting to have less and less hair :D

Can you supply us with a small sample publication, database and csv file to test? It's very difficult to track down the source of a problem like this without actually seeing the files.
