Erreurs database

Postby Pilou » Sun Apr 24, 2011 4:30 pm

Good evening

Having started a program with a database plugin neobookDB I realized I could not put an image on a RTF file.
So I have done my format with carry designer putting variables gestion2.dbf my base.

I then made a button with this command

dbpPrintReport "gestion2.dbf" "C: \ Documents and Settings \ HP_Administrateur \ Desktop \ CANTEEN \ facture.dbr" PrintDialog = No; StartPage =; EndPage =; Copies = 1 "

I have an error message (invalid database ID: gestion2.dbf)

By cons if I remove "gestion2.dbf"

Like this

dbpPrintReport "" "C: \ Documents and Settings \ HP_Administrateur \ Desktop \ CANTEEN \ facture.dbr" PrintDialog = No; StartPage =; EndPage =; Copies = 1 "

It works but I have the following message dialog box (failure of authentication)
but the Report Designer opens!

How can I remove these error messages?
Or permit from a pub to an image (logo) on a RTF.

Thank you for your help

Bonsoir

dbpPrintReport "gestion2.dbf" "C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrateur\Bureau\CANTINE\facture.dbr" "PrintDialog=No;StartPage=;EndPage=;Copies=1"

J'ai un message d'erreur ( invalid database ID: gestion2.dbf)

Par contre si j'enlève "gestion2.dbf"

Comme ceci

dbpPrintReport "" "C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrateur\Bureau\CANTINE\facture.dbr" "PrintDialog=No;StartPage=;EndPage=;Copies=1"

Pilou:

Which plugin are you using ? ...

NeoBookDB which has the dbfPrintReport command

... or ...

NeoBookDBPro which has the dbpPrintReport command

From you description, it looks like you are trying to mix your usage.

If you are wanting to deploy NeoBookDBPro ... you might be getting the error ...
invalid database ID: gestion2.dbf
... because you did not first invoke the dbpOpenDatabase command.

Yes, you need to "open the database" ... but if you are deploying NeoBookDBPro ... I suggest you use the Access database instead of the old "dbf files" ... in which case you you would use the dbpOpenAccessDatabase command instead.

Using Access Databases will avoid a lot of the constraints of the "ancient" (circa 1985) dBase Technology.

If you have some existing .dbf/.dbt files, it might be worth considering migrating your data to Access format files first ... using dbfExportAll ... and dbpImportFromCSV.
