Search LIKE

Postby Carl_SA » Tue Mar 03, 2009 1:51 am

I have built a CV application which captures people skills. The user needs to be able to do multiple wildcard searches. An example would be that the the user needs to search the skills field for people who have Management and Clerical skills. Does anyone know how I can write this search using the LIKE command. The reason why I need this is that the users may have make spelling mistakes. I have tried the command:
dbpQuery "App" "cv" "skills LIKE [#34]%Manage% AND %Cleric%[#34]"

Any suggestions please

Hi..

You can try to use an advanced SQL Query.

dbpExecSQL "App" "SELECT * FROM cv WHERE skills LIKE '%[Manage]%' AND LIKE '%Cleric%';" "Table_To_redirect_the results"
