About error using currency fields

Postby carlos torres » Thu Jan 29, 2009 8:52 am

Dear NBSupport Team

I found that when i use currency format for a numerical field and then I make some math operations w/ those fields NB shows an error.

ei. if I have a field "ammount", other field is "credit" and I want calculate "balance" (Ammount - credit = balance) and those fields had been formated in dbp as "$###,###,###" NB returns error

I couldn't show those fields as currency values. The solution was to go back to use those fields as plain numbers.

regards

I don't know exactly what code you're using for your calculation, but the Math action will fail unless you remove the formatting from the numbers first. Using StrReplace to remove the "$" character before the calculation should solve the problem.
